24 North Hotel Key West Newly Renovated

Excellent accommodations. Rooms was clean and crisp. Beds were comfortable and easy to sleep on. Lots of pillows to choose from. nice view over the water. Prenisha checked me in. Business center was closed but she was most helpful during my stay. She even printed my reports for me. She is a 5 star employee

I booked through Air b and b, don't do it, It was not worth the price. Didnt care for the attitude of the employee when we checked in. Fraternity party at the pool, literally, pool was closed check in until 10pm. There were other pools accessible but lame that I paid $500 for a basic hotel room and it was nothing special. Puke in the stairwell. Awesome grounds. Chickens and lizards, bocce ball golf putting. Expensive bar and not very good, expensive food on the property. Lucky to only be there one night.

Check in was 4 pm. Earlier incurred a fee. The line was out the door at 4 Pm. The desk clerk was very nice and polite. I asked what we got for the resort fee of $50. The clerk explained that the shuttle to Duval street was the big thing and it was once an hour( parking near Duval is $6 an hour plus a fee) it also included the pool and corn hole and putting greens. The room was comfortable, but the air conditioning was not controllable when we got in the room. I tried calling the front desk but the phone didn’t seem to work either. I looked for a guest book in the room that might explain how to us the thermostat or the phone. When ro the front desk but the line was still out the door. I tried the phone again, I noticed a small button on the base of the phone that said talk that you had to press to get a dial tone and got ahold of guest services, they sent a man up right away and he discovered that the batteries were bad in the thermostat and corrected it immediately, two problems solved. After dinner we were going to watch the news of the day but we couldn’t hear the tv. Could not figure out how the remote worked. After about an hour of trying to figure out channels and volume we went to sleep. Went to take a shower the next morning to find that the floor in the shower was very slippery and almost fell, not good considering my wife has a balance issue. You also had to pay to park at this hotel even though it was on the far end of the island away from the commercial end. Most of the time you had to park behind the hotel and come in through the pool area. This was not helpful with a wheel chair it scooter. We stayed at this hotel years ago under another flag and it was better by far than the current management.

The Gates hotel was the perfect accommodation for our needs. Nice pool area and grassy area, unfortunately there was construction at our bar area but Joel went above and beyond to be very accommodating to make sure we were still satisfied despite this! This really meant a lot for making our stay a positive one so thanks to Joel for helping us

bought tix on priceline. chaimed there was a $56 hotel tax to pay when i was there but hotel explained it was a deposit and if I didn't use minibar etc, fully refunded at checkout. there was an optional $15 parking fee i accepted. But instead of being refunded $41 I was charged $76 by the hotel after I left. impossible to reach a manager on phone. impossible and viewing yelp, many ppl have this problem, why they have less than 2.5 out of 5 there. they don't deserve your biz. lots of hotels on kw.
