Motel 6 Buellton CA Solvang Area

I gave the place a second chance. Not hot water. No WI Fi. I mean it was up and down. Smoke smell. But I got great rate l, and the clerk was extremely nice. They did say I could cancel with no hot water, so they were upfront. I opted for a discount I hope I see at check out.

I stayed here to avoid Lompoc. The room was average, but the motel is right by the freeway. Lots of trucks and I just could not sleep. I would not stay here again. A plus is the common areas are clean. No ice n the ice machine and I went back twice. Office told me to call down when I check out, but no answer.

On this trip we stayed in a beautiful Vagabond Inn in Pasadena, Ca on Colorado Blvd.The room and bath were top of the line. Room was Huge! So was breakfast. Great pool. All for $101.00 .We then stayed for 4 nights in Vagabond Inn in Palm Springs recently renovated with huge pool and breakfast and fridge and microwave huge tv etc. for $89.00 a night. Now we come to Motel 6. Room was tiny. Towels were threadbare, noisy, walls paper thin. Could actually hear next door person on their cell phone at 11 PM All for $149.00 a nite. No fridge or microwave or anything. No breakfast , No coffee Ridiculous !!

Good lighting in room, decent parking, nice vanity, fair price, clean room, fast check-in, good air conditioning, nice sized room, bathtub,and safe location and only 3 miles from Solvang. IMO a better value than Solvang which is a bit overpriced. Visit Solvang...stay in Buellton.

We had no heat in our room and it was in the 30's at night. The morning staff at the front desk did not seem to care. I was offered a $40 discount by one of the clerks although another clerk scolded the other saying she doubted the GM would approve
